Welcome to L Ships Line Medical Services
The health, safety, and comfort of every guest and crew member aboard an L Ships Line vessel is one of our highest priorities. While traveling at sea, unexpected medical situations can occur, ranging from minor illnesses and injuries to urgent medical emergencies requiring immediate attention. For this reason, every L Ships Line ship is equipped with a fully operational Medical Center designed to provide professional healthcare services throughout your voyage.
The L Ships Line Medical Center operates as a maritime healthcare facility capable of treating many common conditions experienced during a cruise vacation, including seasickness, minor injuries, allergic reactions, respiratory illnesses, stomach discomfort, dehydration, infections, and other medical concerns. Our onboard medical teams consist of licensed physicians, registered nurses, and trained medical support staff who are prepared to assist guests at any time during their cruise.
The Medical Center is not intended to replace a guest’s personal healthcare provider or a full-service hospital. However, it provides essential medical support while the ship is away from port and can coordinate emergency transportation, shore-side medical care, or evacuation procedures when medically necessary.
Every L Ships Line ship carries medical equipment, emergency supplies, medications, and technology designed specifically for operation in a maritime environment. The Medical Team regularly participates in emergency drills with other onboard departments, including the Bridge Team, Security Team, Guest Services Team, and Safety Officers, ensuring that medical emergencies are handled quickly and efficiently.
Location of the Medical Center
The Medical Center is located on:
Deck 2 Forward
The entrance is marked with clear medical signage displaying the internationally recognized medical symbol. Directional signs are placed near elevator areas, stairways, and major guest corridors to help passengers quickly locate the facility.
Interactive ship maps available through:
The L Ships Line Mobile App
Stateroom television system
Digital information screens throughout the ship
will display the current location of the Medical Center.
Guests who are unfamiliar with the ship or unable to locate the Medical Center should ask any available crew member for assistance. All L Ships Line crew members are trained to provide directions and can contact the Medical Team if necessary.
Guests experiencing a medical emergency should not attempt to walk to the Medical Center alone. Instead:
Dial 9111 from your stateroom telephone.
Use any emergency telephone located throughout the ship.
Notify the nearest crew member.
Provide your location and a brief description of the situation.
A medical response team will be dispatched immediately.
Medical Emergency Response
L Ships Line maintains a 24-hour emergency medical response system.
Medical emergencies can occur anywhere onboard, including:
Staterooms
Restaurants
Theaters
Pools
Waterslide areas
Fitness centers
Lounges
Shopping areas
Gangways
Shore excursion meeting locations
When an emergency call is received, the ship’s Emergency Response Team is notified. Depending on the situation, medical personnel may bring emergency equipment directly to the guest’s location before transportation to the Medical Center.
Emergency equipment available onboard may include:
Oxygen equipment
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
Emergency medication supplies
Cardiac monitoring equipment
Mobility assistance equipment
First-response medical kits
Guests should provide accurate information when requesting assistance, including:

Travel Insurance Recommendations
L Ships Line strongly recommends that every guest purchase travel insurance before sailing.
Cruise medical expenses are often different from normal healthcare expenses because treatment occurs outside a guest’s home country or healthcare network.
Travel insurance may provide coverage for:
Eligible onboard medical expenses
Emergency transportation
Medical evacuation
Trip interruption
Trip cancellation
Lost medications
Unexpected travel delays
Guests should review their insurance policy carefully before departure to understand:
Covered expenses
Required documentation
Claim procedures
Reimbursement limits
Upon request, the Medical Center can provide:
Itemized medical receipts
Physician documentation
Treatment summaries
for insurance claim purposes.
Prescription Medication Policy
Guests should bring enough medication for the entire duration of their cruise, including additional medication in case of unexpected delays.
Prescription medications should:
Remain in original pharmacy containers
Include the guest’s name
Be packed in carry-on luggage
Never be placed in checked luggage
L Ships Line recommends carrying medications personally rather than storing them in luggage that may be delivered later to the stateroom.
The Medical Center cannot guarantee availability of every medication. Prescription replacement may only be possible when:
The medication is available onboard
The ship’s physician approves replacement
Appropriate medical documentation is provided
Guests should not rely on the ship’s Medical Center as a replacement for bringing necessary personal medications.
Seasickness Information
Motion caused by ocean conditions may affect some guests, especially those who are not accustomed to traveling by ship.
Common symptoms may include:
Dizziness
Nausea
Fatigue
Loss of appetite
Guests experiencing seasickness may visit the Medical Center for evaluation and recommendations.
Additional seasickness prevention options may include:
Fresh air on open decks
Resting in a stable location
Drinking water
Eating smaller meals
Following medical staff recommendations
Guests who know they are sensitive to motion should consider preparing before sailing by speaking with their healthcare provider.
Medical Evacuation
In rare situations where a guest requires medical care beyond what can safely be provided onboard, L Ships Line may coordinate transportation to a shoreside medical facility.
Decisions regarding medical evacuation are made by:
Ship’s Physician
Medical Team
Captain
Shoreside medical advisors when necessary
Transportation options may include:
Ambulance transfer at port
Helicopter evacuation when medically required
Transfer to another vessel
Coordination with local emergency services
Medical evacuation decisions are based entirely on medical necessity and safety.
Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for:
Providing accurate health information
Bringing required medications
Following medical instructions
Reporting contagious illnesses
Informing medical staff about allergies
Maintaining personal hygiene practices
Guests should contact the Medical Center if they experience symptoms that may affect other passengers.

Welcome to L Ships Line Lost & Found Services
At L Ships Line, we understand that personal belongings are an important part of your vacation experience. Losing a phone, wallet, camera, piece of jewelry, passport, clothing item, or other personal possession can be stressful, especially while traveling far from home.
The L Ships Line Lost & Found Program is designed to help guests recover misplaced belongings whenever possible. Our onboard teams work together across multiple departments, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Security, Dining, Entertainment, Retail, and Shore Operations, to locate, document, store, and return recovered items to their owners.
Because thousands of guests move throughout the ship each day, prompt reporting is extremely important. The sooner an item is reported, the greater the chance it can be located before the end of your voyage.
L Ships Line crew members are trained to turn found items over to the proper department rather than keeping items they discover. Every item recovered onboard is recorded, secured, and processed according to company procedures.
Where to Report a Lost Item
Guests who believe they have lost an item should report it immediately to:
Guest Services Desk
Location: Deck 5 Midship
Hours: 24 hours a day
Guest Services representatives can assist guests with creating a Lost Item Report and will begin contacting the appropriate onboard departments.
Guests may also report lost items through:
The L Ships Line Mobile App
The stateroom television system
Any available crew member
If a guest reports a lost item to a crew member outside Guest Services, the crew member will forward the information to the appropriate department.
Reporting a Lost Item Onboard
When creating a Lost Item Report, guests should provide as much information as possible.
A Guest Services Ambassador may ask for:
Guest name
Stateroom number
Contact information
Description of the item
Brand name
Color
Size
Approximate value
Serial number (if available)
Date and time the item was last seen
Location where the item may have been lost
Any unique identifying features
Detailed descriptions help crew members identify the correct item among similar belongings.
For example:
A report saying:
"I lost my phone."
may not provide enough information.
A stronger report would include:
"I lost a black iPhone 15 Pro with a clear case containing a blue sticker on the back. I last remember having it near the Horizon Pool on Deck 15 around 3:30 PM."
The additional details make searching much easier.
What Happens After a Lost Item Is Reported?
Once a report has been submitted, Guest Services creates an official Lost Item Record.
The report is then reviewed and distributed to the departments most likely to locate the item.
Depending on where the item was lost, searches may include:
Housekeeping Department
Housekeeping teams inspect:
Staterooms
Hallways
Elevators
Public areas
Lounges
Seating areas
Dining Department
Dining teams check:
Restaurants
Bars
Cafés
Buffets
Specialty dining venues
Entertainment Department
Entertainment staff check:
Theaters
Show lounges
Game areas
Activity spaces
Recreation Department
Teams inspect:
Pools
Sports areas
Fitness centers
Kids and teen areas
Security Department
Security assists with:
High-value items
Electronic devices
Identification documents
Items requiring additional verification
Lost Item Search Process
Crew members regularly inspect public areas throughout the day. Any item discovered is transferred to the Lost & Found processing area.
When an item is recovered:
The item is delivered to the appropriate department.
The item is logged into the Lost & Found system.
Details are compared with active reports.
Ownership is verified.
The guest is contacted.
Guests should understand that not all lost items are immediately found. Large ships contain thousands of public spaces, restaurants, cabins, and activity areas. Searches may require additional time depending on:
Size of the item
Location lost
Time passed since disappearance
Number of guests using the area
Lost Electronics Policy
Electronic devices require additional security procedures because of the personal information they may contain.
Examples include:
Smartphones
Tablets
Laptops
Cameras
Smart watches
Wireless headphones
Gaming devices
Before an electronic device is returned, guests may be asked to provide proof of ownership.
Accepted verification may include:
Device passcode confirmation
Serial number
Purchase receipt
Account verification
Photos showing ownership
For privacy protection, L Ships Line crew members will never unlock, access, or search through personal content stored on recovered devices.
Lost Passports and Travel Documents
Passports and travel documents are considered high-priority items.
If a passport is found:
The item is immediately secured.
Security personnel are notified.
The document is stored in a protected location.
The owner is contacted.
Guests who lose passports should report the loss immediately.
Guests may need to contact:
Their government embassy or consulate
Port authorities
Travel insurance provider
L Ships Line Guest Services can provide assistance with communication and documentation but cannot issue replacement passports.
Lost Money, Wallets, and Credit Cards
Wallets and financial items are handled with additional security precautions.
Examples include:
Cash
Credit cards

Medication should never be left unattended onboard.
If replacement medication is required:
The Medical Center may evaluate the situation.
Replacement availability depends on medication type.
Additional charges may apply.
Guests should always pack essential medications in carry-on luggage.
Items That Are Difficult to Recover
Some items are harder to locate due to their size or condition.
Examples include:
Small accessories
Jewelry
Items lost overboard
Items accidentally discarded
Items left in crowded public areas
L Ships Line crew members will make reasonable efforts to locate reported items; however, recovery cannot be guaranteed.
